KRISNETSpace

Cooperation for critical infrastructure

Satellites that networks can rely on.

KRISNET Space develops, builds and operates a small-satellite constellation for secure communication, time distribution and monitoring of critical infrastructure in Germany and Europe, together with five German industrial partners.

Programmes (German)

Our mission

Resilience from orbit

Power grids, water utilities, railways and data centres depend on communication paths that keep working when terrestrial networks fail. We provide the sovereign fallback: European satellites, European ground stations, European cryptography.

Secure data relays

Encrypted telecontrol links (IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850) via the KRISNET-1 constellation, independent of public mobile and fixed networks.

Time & frequency

ChronoLink distributes traceable time with an uncertainty below 100 ns to substations, trading venues and mobile cores, complementing Galileo and PTP.

Corridor monitoring

Sentry-SAR observes pipelines, transmission lines and railway embankments with radar in all weather and reports ground motion and intrusions within hours.
